CELEBRATION OF THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY FROM THE OPENING OF THE “KAMENICA CULTURAL HERITAGE SITE”

On June 28th, 2008 the “Kamenica Cultural Heritage Site” celebrated the first anniversary from the opening. The staff organized a photographic exhibition of all the activities undertaken till now: the seminars, the round table, the classical music concert, the exhibitions, and of the most important events, such as the Prime Minister’s visit.

A special place was reserved to the educational program, and a video was shown with a collection of its most significant aspects, such as the lectures on various archaeological topics, the experimental excavation, the students’ play of the War between Illyrians and Roman.

Among other teachers and students, the Director of the Regional Directory of Education, Mr. Andrea Mano, participated to the celebration, and expressed his high opinion about the Centre’s school program, and the wish that it will go on next scholastic year. It was agreed that the “corner” where now there are the reproductions of two graves will be enriched possibly with a wheel, a kiln, and other equipment where students can experiment ancient technologies.

The press and the media showed also their interest in the event, and this was the occasion to summarize the number, type, and distribution of visitors along the year.
